Go
Go is a high-level complied programming language known for its simple syntax and development efficiency. It was created at Google in 2007 by 3 software developers, Robert Griesemer, Rob Pike, and Ken Thompson, and then was publicly announced to the world in November 2009. It is inspired by C's syntax, but adds garbage collection, structural typing, and concurrency.
History
Go was created at Google in 2007 to increase productivity. The designers wanted to address concerns of other languages in use at Google, but keep their useful characteristics.
Go was publicly announced in November 2009, and version 1.0 was released in 2012. Go is used widely at Google, and many other organizations and open-source projects.
Example Code
package main
import "fmt"
func main() {
fmt.Println("hello, world!")
